What is your role about?

We are currently looking for a new colleague who is eager to learn a lot about Trading, Pricing, Yielding and Revenue Management. You will be part of the Trader team, currently existing of 4 Traders. This team is part of a bigger Revenue Management Team.

In this position you have an important role in the Revenue Management, but also the opportunity to contribute to and learn from interesting projects, like improving the use of algorithms, opportunity seeking, optimizing the reporting process to the various stakeholders and the transition to dynamic packaging.


Your impact

Within your role you will be primarily involved in:

  • Optimizing flight and accommodation yielding for all of our destinations and products – As a Trader you are responsible for your ‘own’ destinations (think of Portugal, Kos or Val Thorens). For these destinations you are responsible for following up on predefined booking flow, based on both historical patterns and qualitative additions to these patterns, guarding the coverage of contracted flight and accommodation capacities and monitoring targets on different levels. This can be focused on our flight destinations (often Sun locations), but also our bus or self-drive destinations (often Ski areas). Most important goal of the Trader is to reach the predefined targets at the highest possible load factor at the highest possible margin, but also making use of possibilities in sourcing that are in the market for your destinations.
  • Coordinating commercial priorities to different stakeholders – In order to reach these goals, we are working together with our colleagues from Pricing, E-commerce, to get the relevant potential customers on our website(s). Next to this, we are also in close contact with our Traffic department and our Product Management and Contracting (and Support) teams.
  • Creating risk & opportunity / short and long term sales & priority analysis – As Trade team we are responsible for preparing various internal and external reporting. Together with the team, you support creating improved insights which support the various stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvement – You will support the Revenue Management team with getting the total Revenue Management on a higher level, necessary in our next step to become Europe’s leading digital holiday expert, both upon request from the business as on own initiative.

  • For this vacancy means a monthly salary is between €2700,- and €3400,- gross per month. This is excluding holiday allowance (8%) and travel allowance. Depending on your experience and expertise we will jointly determine your Relative Salary Position (RSP) and growth potential within the range.
  •  Flexibility in hours and working location. For this job you are preferably at our office in Rotterdam two days a week.

Job requirements

  • You have analytical skills and affinity with numbers.
  • You fit in a commercial, dynamic and fast environment.
  • You have great communication skills, are open an motivated to learn.
  • Takes initiative and is result-oriented.
  • At least a bachelor degree in for example Business Administration, Economics or Leisure studies.
  • Knowledge of Excel is a big plus.
