Pricing Innovation & Change Manager

A unique role where you work on the intersection of Revenue Management and Business Development at Sunweb Group. Suitable for a data-driven-pricing-enthusiast that has the ambition to make Sunweb Group an industry leading example in Revenue Management.

We are looking for a highly motivated critical thinker with 4 years+ of experience, to join our Revenue Management team. The Revenue Management team consists of a Trade team (currently 10 persons) and several specialists (currently 3 persons) building out Sunweb Group’s Revenue Management capability. In this role you will report directly to the Director of Revenue Management.

Your Impact

Among others you will responsible for the development of the following topics. Over time, we will evaluate where you can have the biggest impact:

  • Continuous improvements – You will review core Revenue Management processes such as forecasting and pricing and identify how we can optimize these processes. You will set up improvement hypotheses and rapidly test these. As such you will work together closely with e.g. the Trade team, Revenue Analysts and other (commercial) stakeholders like the E-Commerce teams, Product teams and Virtual Airline.
  • Intelligence / Big data – The smart usage of data is a cornerstone of our strategy. We continuously look for use cases where we can create value from the data that we already have or can collect. Given the abundance of data, Revenue Management is one of the areas within Sunweb Group where we believe a lot of value can be created. You will work with our Intelligence team on identifying the right use cases and developing intelligent solutions. An example here could be building further on our set of yielding algorithms and rolling them out broader within Sunweb Group.
  • Insights and tooling – Having the right insights and the right tools to act on these insights is key to capturing the upside in Revenue Management. You will work with the different teams to identify which insights can be optimized and what tools would be required to steer on these insights.

And this is only the tip of the iceberg, you will be able to shape this list of topics and the Revenue Management strategy based on your analyses, relevant experience, strengths and ambitions. As this position is part of the Revenue Management team, this position is internally knows as RM Innovation Manager.

What skills will bring you to the top?

We are looking for a candidate who has/is:

  • A master degree and demonstrable interest in business or economics
  • 4 years+ experience in (management/strategy) consulting or business development within a B2C environment. Experience in revenue management, pricing optimization and/or e-commerce is an advantage
  • Fluently in Dutch or English is a must
  • You are an EU citizen or have an EU working visa and you live in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Switzerland or France. You are able to come the our office in Rotterdam on a frequent basis
  • You are available for a minimal 24 and maximum 40 hours per week
  • Conceptually strong; Able to identify opportunities to improve processes, tooling etc., based on solid analysis
  • Pragmatic, proactive and result driven, you ensure impact is made with your excellent project management skills
  • Able to build coalitions across the organization on all different levels
