Role overview
In this role, you will be responsible for the administration of multiple entities within the legal structure of Sunweb, acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC). You will ensure accurate and timely month-end closings, maintain full ownership of the balance sheet, and assist in both group and statutory (local GAAP) audit processes. You will also be responsible for ensuring smooth coordination between various stakeholders safeguarding financial integrity and compliance through accurate reconciliations.

You will report to the Team Lead Accounting, while also working closely on a daily basis with with colleagues from Controlling, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other support departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting tasks and acts as the single point of contact (SPOC) for financial accounting related topics for the entities under your responsibility;

• Participate in the financial month-end close process;

• Take full ownership of the balance sheet for the entities under your responsibility;

• Perform monthly a balance sheet analytical for the entities under your responsibility as input for the month close reporting and to ensure correctness of the numbers;

• Support in continuous improvements (process/cooperation/system) within the financial administration (Netsuite);

• Support in the local GAAP audits and group audit;

• Fixed assets: Responsible for managing fixed assets across all Sunweb entities, including capitalization, asset assessment, and the execution of depreciation runs;

• VAT: Assist in the preparation of tax returns;

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• More than 3 years of experience in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, cash management, and financial reconciliations.

• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications mainly Excel.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Fluency in English language is required. Basic level Dutch is a plus.
