Sunweb Group is a tour operator that aims to offer the best holiday experience. We have 3 business units, Sunweb Sun, Sunweb Ski, and Eliza was here. They cross-collaborate for the best future proof strategy to become number one and they are supported by the Center of Excellence. Our HQ is located in Zurich and we have offices in Rotterdam, Girona, Antwerp, Paris, and Copenhagen. We work towards the improvement of our services with a customer-oriented view, by challenging and developing ourselves.

As an E-Commerce Marketer, you will be responsible for the online growth of a Sunweb portfolio. You are passionate about seeing the results of your work reflected in objective actual data. Not only because positive results give energy, but also to continue to grow in your work. You are eager to learn and experiment to achieve business goals in new ways.

As an E-Commerce Marketer in our e-commerce team, your goal is to find the right channel mix and strategies to increase our revenue. You do this by setting up tactical sales campaigns, running experiments across the funnel, improving conversion rate, and working with a cross-functional team (Brand, Product, Revenue Management) to establish growth strategies to support Sunweb Group's goals.

To improve results, you monitor the daily performance of our marketing activities, follow market trends, and analyze booking data to monitor revenue performance and uncover areas for improvement.

What's the result of your work?

  • Monitor and review digital performance daily to improve the impact of our marketing efforts.
  • Create, manage and experiment on a wide range of trading formats to drive traffic, engagement, and conversion.
  • Execution and follow-up on-brand campaigns initiated by the Brand Manager.
  • Playing an active role in website conversion rate optimization, by doing sales funnel analysis and identifying existing bottlenecks in this funnel.
  • For our weekly trading meeting, you share results and insights based on analysis of booking data, digital performance, and local market trends in collaboration with our online advertising specialists, product managers, and data teams (e.g. UX/BI)
  • Getting the maximal potential out of channels such as SEO by analyzing growth opportunities or Affiliates by setting up performance-based partnerships.

You are up to date on the daily performance of the marketing activities and achieve the desired results by building a strong and efficient e-commerce presence. The insights and performance statistics ensure that you continuously optimize the channel mix and present the brand optimally on the different touchpoints within our customer journey on mobile, desktop, and app. To improve results, you will base changes on your analysis of the market trends, bookings flow per destination/accommodation, golden dates, and other relevant data.


What (skills) will make you succeed?

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Solid project management skills: ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional partners, prioritize high-impact activities, and keep complex projects moving forward.
  • Extensive knowledge of online marketing channels and metrics and using different reporting tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, and Power BI.
  • Strong commercial mindset steering on ROAS, contribution margin, and delivering in line with business and brand goals.
  • Knowledge of the tourism industry is a pre.
  • You are available for 32 to 40 hours per week.
  • You are fluent in English, both verbal and written and preferably you also speak Dutch or French.
